I am restarting this Blog which as been dormant for about 8 years. This blog will generally be a site for the posting of my personal artwork: using Watercolors, Pen and Ink, Urban Sketching and beginning Acrylics. I'll also add links to some of my favorite art sites and perhaps discussions of on-line and local area art/artists

This is a very sad post that I have to add to my blog. Our great little cat Fred, of "Fred should have known" fame passed away last week. He was a joy to have around, a funny, sweet guy who charmed everyone who knew him. He will be missed. His antics were a big part of the inspiration for many of my Fred drawings. Thanks to all who liked his influence.

IF-YIELD 03/12/12
This is another in the continuing saga of Fred and what he should have known. I started this 9 panel cartoon in response to the "Weekly Art Challenges" web site (listed below) and it also works for the IF subject this week in that Fred should not YIELD to the temptation of playing with Molly's catnip mouse. Molly is the Alpha cat in our household. And don't you forget it!!

Illustration Friday posts continue
Posted my third effort for the Illustrated Friday web site (Clumsy). Lots of fun using their word for the week as a jumping off point. Tried a little cartoon type this time rather than a realistic style. Still trying to work out the issues with posting the pictures so they are generally the same size. This comes from having to scan the artwork onto our Mac (has the scanner attached) saving the .jpg files into Photoshop for croping, repair of small errors etc, then saving to a memory stick, carry that to the PC and then load it on the IF website. Next time I may just try to do it all on the Mac.
